About the Artist
Vera Kavura is a Ukrainian pastel artist known for her expressive floral paintings created primarily from life. Flowers are at the heart of her work — not simply as a subject, but as a way to explore light, colour, atmosphere and the fleeting beauty of the natural world.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and recognised in pastel exhibitions and competitions in Europe and beyond. Vera has been invited as a guest artist, demonstrator and judge, and has presented her painting process several times at Pastel Live, an international online event for pastel artists.
She is an Associate Artist with Unison Colour, one of the world’s leading makers of soft pastels. Her work and teaching have also been featured in art publications and international educational projects, including her video course Flowers of Ukraine.
Alongside her studio practice, Vera teaches pastel painting through workshops and courses, sharing the approach she has developed through years of working directly with flowers and observing colour and light from life.
Her original paintings are held in private collections around the world.
